AI Job Search Agent with Resume Matching and LinkedIn Scraping
N8N
Project's Category
Intro
This one runs a daily job search on autopilot: it scrapes LinkedIn listings, scores each one against your resume, and pings you on Telegram only when it finds a real match.
Problems
Job hunting on LinkedIn means scrolling through dozens of postings a day, most of which don't fit, and reading each one closely enough to tell if it's actually worth applying to. Doing that every day while also working or interviewing was more than most people could keep up with.
Solutions
We built an n8n workflow that runs daily on a schedule, pulls a resume from Google Drive and converts it from PDF to text, and reads search filters, keywords, location, experience level, job type, from a Google Sheet to build a LinkedIn search URL. It fetches the search results, extracts every job link, and loops through each one to scrape the title, company, location, description, and apply link. Each job description gets fed to an AI model along with the resume to score the match, and the scored job gets written to the sheet. Anything above a 50 score triggers a Telegram alert.
Final Thoughts
Scoring every job before anything reaches a human is what makes this useful instead of just another feed to scroll. By the time a job shows up in Telegram, it's already been checked against the actual resume, not just a keyword match.
