AI Powered LinkedIn Content and Auto Posting System
N8N
Project's Category
Intro
This one keeps a founder's LinkedIn feed alive without them opening a laptop. It pulls old post ideas from a Google Sheet, checks Perplexity for what's actually trending right now, then hands everything to an AI agent that writes the post and generates a matching branded image. Twice a week it grabs a finished post and publishes it straight to LinkedIn.
Problems
The client wanted to post consistently on LinkedIn but never had the time. Writing copy, designing a matching graphic, and remembering to actually hit publish, twice a week, every week, kept sliding to the bottom of the list. Ideas piled up in a spreadsheet and just sat there.
Solutions
We built an n8n workflow that handles the whole loop end to end. A cron trigger kicks off content creation, pulls unused ideas from the sheet, and sends a research query to Perplexity so the post is grounded in something current instead of stale. An AI agent, Claude or GPT depending on what the client prefers, writes the post in their brand voice, and OpenAI's image model generates a graphic that matches their visual style. Everything lands back in Google Sheets as a ready post. A second scheduled run picks one ready post twice a week, downloads the image, and publishes it to LinkedIn automatically, then updates the sheet so nothing gets posted twice.
Final Thoughts
Good fit for solo founders, creators, or an agency running content for a handful of client accounts who don't want a human doing the boring part. Setup just needs a Google Sheet, an OpenAI or Claude key, a Perplexity key, and a LinkedIn account connected through n8n's native node. Once it's running, the only real job left is swapping the prompt now and then so the posts don't start sounding the same every week.
