Problems
A single AI generated social post without checkpoints was risky, a bad caption or a wrong image could go live before anyone caught it. The team needed a way to keep AI speed without losing the chance to catch a mistake.
Solutions
We built an n8n pipeline broken into clear steps. Step one runs a social media content agent with GPT4o and search tools to draft the post. Step two either generates a matching image with OpenAI or lets someone upload their own, gated behind a content approval check. Step three needs a final approval before the post actually goes out to Instagram, Facebook and X, and every platform's result gets formatted. Step four emails a summary of what published and how it went.
Final Thoughts
Splitting content creation into four numbered steps with two separate approval gates means nothing publishes on autopilot. The AI still does the writing and image work, a person just has to say yes twice before it's live.
