Email Attachment to FTP Auto Uploader
Make
Project's Category
Intro
This one watches an inbox for new emails, goes through every attachment one by one, and uploads each file straight to an FTP server.
Problems
Attachments coming in by email had to be downloaded by hand and uploaded to the FTP server one at a time. For anyone getting more than a couple of these a day, that added up to a lot of repetitive clicking.
Solutions
We built a Make scenario that watches a mailbox for new emails, iterates through every attachment on each one, and uploads each file to an FTP server automatically. No file gets left behind because the iterator processes every attachment on a message, not just the first one.
Final Thoughts
Using an iterator instead of grabbing a single attachment means this scales to emails with five files or fifty without anyone touching the scenario.
