Monday.com to RWS Language Cloud Translation Project Automation
Make
Project's Category
Intro
This one watches a Monday.com board for new items, pulls the attached files, and spins up a translation project in RWS Language Cloud without anyone touching either tool by hand.
Problems
Starting a translation job meant someone had to open the file in Monday, download it, log into RWS Language Cloud separately, upload it, and set the target languages, then go back to Monday to update the item once the project existed. Every handoff was a place for a file to get lost or a language to get missed.
Solutions
We built a Make scenario that watches a Monday.com board for new items, gets the item and its attached files, pulls the file itself over HTTP, and uploads it to RWS Language Cloud. It sets the target language variables, aggregates them into the array the project needs, then creates the translation project in RWS Language Cloud and writes the result straight back into the Monday.com item's columns.
Final Thoughts
Keeping Monday as the single source of truth means the team never has to check a second tool to know where a translation stands. The board update at the end is what makes the whole thing feel finished instead of just automated.
