Problems
Every new product had to be entered twice. Once in Airtable where the team already tracked inventory, then again by hand in Shopify before it could actually go live. That second pass ate time and left room for typos to slip into the listing.
Solutions
We built a Make scenario that watches the Airtable base for new product rows. When one shows up, it loops through the data, pulls the associated file, aggregates what it needs, and creates the product directly in Shopify. Once the product exists, it updates the Airtable row so the team can see at a glance which products are already live.
Final Thoughts
Double entry is the kind of chore that never gets fixed until it finally breaks something, usually a mismatched price or a product that never made it to the store at all. Wiring Airtable straight to Shopify closes that gap and the team never has to think about it again.
